On Monday
afternoon, it became clear. All employees at SAS agreed to reduce their wages in
order to save the company.
The bosses
at SAS and all travelers could exhale. SAS did not go bankrupt and was forced
to close on Monday. SAS aircraft will fly as usual today, tomorrow and in the
near future.
But all the
SAS problems are not solved. Nobody knows how long SAS will make it. It’s been
hard for the company to make money on their flights.
Many people
choose to fly with other airlines where the tickets are cheaper. SAS also need
to buy new, more modern aircrafts that use less fuel. Otherwise, SAS will have
a hard time attracting travelers from other airlines.
SAS needs
to get more people to fly with their airline. At the same time SAS needs to
save money. Many experts believe that SAS may have difficulties to make it. Six
thousand employees disappear when the SAS sell parts of the company.
